The Dreamhouse Adventure is a three-day, all-expenses-paid experience for three families that have a child facing serious medical/health challenges.
Hosted by world-famous therapy dog Koda the Fluff®, the event brings joy, relief, and unforgettable memories to families who need it most. This project takes place once every few years. Koda personally selects the participating families from hundreds of nominations submitted nationwide. What makes the Dreamhouse Adventure truly special is how the entire community comes together—local businesses, sponsors, and individuals donate meals, activities, gifts, and entertainment to help create an extraordinary experience. Through this collective community effort, families are surrounded with kindness, support, and moments of pure happiness, making the Dreamhouse Adventure a true celebration of hope and community spirit.
THE DREAMHOUSE ADVENTURE
2022
The Story of the First Dreamhouse Adventure (2023) One day, Koda the Fluff had a dream about a beautiful mansion by a lake in Clermont. The house was filled with incredible themed rooms, fun surprises, and endless places to explore. After visiting, Koda had a simple but powerful thought: what if families who are going through really tough medical journeys could come here for a few days of pure fun and relaxation? The owner of the mansion, Dave, loved the idea. With a big heart and generous spirit, he offered the home for the adventure. Along with his friend Jerry, the two became the official “Butlers” of the Dreamhouse, helping Koda host the entire event and make sure every detail was magical. Koda then asked her followers to nominate families with children facing difficult medical challenges. Hundreds of nominations came in from across the country, and from those stories Koda selected three incredible families. One of the children was Elliott, who was born with a rare heart condition that left his heart about half its normal size. Elliott had already endured many surgeries, and Koda knew he and his family deserved a joyful adventure. Another child was Rosie, who had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma when she was just three years old. Her cancer was extremely aggressive. After being selected for the Dreamhouse Adventure, Rosie sadly passed away only a few weeks before the event. Her family decided to still attend, hoping the experience would bring them comfort during such a heartbreaking time. The community surrounded them with love throughout the weekend. The third child was Sarah, who had just completed her final chemotherapy treatment. In a beautiful twist of fate, Sarah had actually met Koda at the hospital while leaving an appointment. It felt like the Dreamhouse Adventure was meant to be. When the families arrived, the entire community stepped in to make the experience unforgettable. A chef volunteered to cook every meal, massage therapists treated the parents to relaxing spa sessions, and gift baskets poured in from local businesses. Members of the police department and the Clermont City Manager even came by to welcome the families. A group of wonderful volunteers from a local nonprofit called The Flockers helped serve and care for the families like true Dreamhouse butlers. A horse event company brought unicorns for the children, and an ice cream truck and DJ hosted a huge celebration party. One evening, the families and volunteers gathered together to honor Rosie. Lanterns were lit and floated across the pool in her memory—a quiet, beautiful moment filled with love. The first Dreamhouse Adventure showed what can happen when a community comes together with kindness and purpose. When people unite to lift others up, something truly magical happens. We hope this story inspires you to show compassion in your own community and bring a little extra light to families who need it most.
THE 2022 DREAMHOUSE FAMILIES

Princess Rose
Rosie unfortunately passed away a few weeks before the Dreamhouse took place. Her mom, dad and little brother still came out to get some much needed distraction. They have started an incredible nonprofit in Rosie's honor that delivers toys to children's hospitals all over Florida. Koda participates in various events with them to this day.

Tin Man Elliott
Tin Man : Elliott is an incredible little guy with half a heart and "twice the fight". His family traveled all the way from Texas to join the Dreamhouse! Elliot is one of those souls you never forget meeting and makes friends everywhere he goes. He is so positive and happens to LOVE toys and action figures. He has a really cool channel where he does toy reviews and they do lots of charity work. He now is a big brother!

Little Sarah
Little Sarah actually met Koda in the Children's hospital while receiving chemo for her cancerous brain tumor.
She was a energetic and happy addition to the dreamhouse! Sarah has since been completely cured and is living her best life in central Florida! Koda still sees Sarah from time to time and her family is still friends with Rosie's family also!
